The Productivity Question in Nigeria

Dear Friends,

Following from my last post on productivity – many of you agreed and rightly so that our productivity as individuals , first and foremost  is very low.
I have continued my search for more understanding. I just attended a training on ‘Coaching Master Class for improving Ouctomes’.

Here is my big takeaway that I want to share:

                                                                      PRODUCTIVITY = POTENTIAL –INTERFERENCES!!

We all have incredible potential to accomplish a lot and be able to raise our productivity by well over 100%, but we need to cut down distractions
Or better , manage distractions/interferences.
 We got far too many of them...
Some of the distractions/interferences are  listed:
-          Negative mindset(it's not possible) ; poor preparation , not being strategic , ‘traffic’ (this should resonate very well with Lagos/PH people), complaining about what we cannot change
nor influence , personal interests carried too far ( beliefs?), family matters , politics at the office ,  Not focusing on the right things – I spoke to a set of Commercial and Brand Managers
last week about shifting focus back to the consumer and the shopper – too much focus on the trade can be a distraction, inadequate tools for the job (many of us as employers
May still think work is slavery – tools are hardly available) , Inertia (we are great planners but productivity shows up when we step up and DO something') Nollyowood at work and home’ – many of us Act to extent that it becomes a real  live comedy …, disrespect for our associates – this makes many of us stand back and just watch and pray that things don’t go right.

And many many more.

Step out and do something today to improve productivity of yourself and team!!!

Please reflect on this and have a great week!!!
