Dear friends,
The rhetoric about corruption is hot in the air. It's been very loud in the months leading up to the election.
Post election it sounds pretty loud.
I am however hearing the reactive part of it all ... We will probe , we will hold everyone to account, we will bring to justice!!
These all sound great and right to do...absolutely!!
However, should we be putting more energy and ingenuity at ensuring the processes are tight enough to curtail and in some places , stop corruption?
I'm wondering ... If we leave our flanks open ... Somebody is going to steal something!!! Post that, he has a wad of cash to 'rent' the best lawyer and can drag the case until eternity!!!
What is your view please?
